ROWAphos is the most efficient phosphorus remover on the market and is widely used in Europe and now gaining traction in the US. Developed in Germany for use in main water supplies, ROWAphos is now popular in lakes and ponds and has been formulated for aquariums. It removes phosphates and does not reintroduce them - thus offering the largest absorption rate of any similar product. This is invaluable for not needing to immediately replace the media when full. It is an easy to use and beneficial addition to marine and reef aquariums, helping to control unwanted algae and promote the growth of hard corals, without being harmful to animals when used regularly. Plus, it has an extremely high binding capacity and does not affect the pH of the water. One hundred milliliters of ROWAphos can reduce the phosphate level by one part per million in a 50-gallon saltwater or 170-gallon freshwater tank.
